• FIRST IMPRESSIONS •
saxsice lynet king name 26 age 08/22 birthday 5'10 height blonde hair brown eyes
VOICE
Like this, with a bit more of a Southern twang, drops a lot of her g's and drawls a bit.

STYLE
When she's on the job, it's understated, dark, monochrome colors, low cut and tight-fitting. Off the clock, it's like a thrift store threw up on her.

OVERALL
A friendly, direct, flirtatious woman with an easy smile and a take-no-shit attitude.
• ABILITIES & SKILLS •
SHAPE-SHIFTING
The elephant in the room -- Saxie comes from a very long, very zealously kept-pure bloodline of lupine shape-shifters. Her animal form is that of a large, silvery-white wolf, half again as large as an average grey wolf. While she's old and practiced enough to transform at will, it is noticeably easier around the full moon.

CANINE ATTRIBUTES
As a side effect of the whole wolf thing, Saxie has a sharper sense of hearing and smell than most humans. Unlike shape-shifting, this is a constant attribute, and doesn't require any conscious effort to activate. She often wears earplugs or headphones to dampen the effects. She also can eat raw/undercooked meat without any ill effects, and will crave it depending on the cycle of the moon. Her shape-shifting also gives her advanced/accelerated healing, which means most injuries heal in a matter of days and leave no scars. She also can't get tattoos or piercings because of this.

BARTENDING
More mundanely, Saxsice has a bartending license, and is a skilled mixologist, though her bar serves more straightforward, simple fare, rather than adventurous cocktails.

• APPEARANCE •
Saxsice is on the tall side, 5'10 and she makes no effort to hide this fact, usually in some sort of heels or boots. She's naturally built lean, and goes on daily runs to keep in shape. She tried yoga, once upon a time, but all the deep breathing just annoyed her, so she sticks to jogging. Saxie's deceptively strong, and despite having a bouncer at her bar, has been known to break up fights herself.

She's a natural blonde, and likes to keep her hair shoulder-length or longer. It's usually a mess, either a curly, tangled mass that she's forever shaking out of her face, or twisted up into a bun on top of her head. Overall, Saxsice doesn't care a lot about her physical appearance, though she'll lean into more dramatic make-up and hairstyles when she's working the bar.

When Saxsice is working, she'll play up the sex appeal -- tight, strappy, black clothes, form-fitting jeans or layered tank-tops, lots of cleavage and stomach showing. She's a big flirt, regardless of age or gender, and is WELL aware that she's attractive. On her off-hours, though, she likes bright patterns and flowing, colorful clothes -- sundresses, overalls and drapey muumuus are all staples of her wardrobe. Oftentimes her coworkers and customers don't even recognize her during the daytime. She also loves flashy, silvery jewelry, but due to her werewolf healing, doesn't have any piercings or tattoos.
• PERSONALITY •
If Saxsice had a motto, it'd be "life is meant to be enjoyed". She's a shameless hedonist, who loves anything that makes her feel alive -- sex, alcohol, loud music, drugs. Now that she's in her late 20's, she's slowed down a bit on the riskier aspects of this lifestyle, but she can still drink almost anyone under the table, no problem. Saxie absolutely loves being around happy, excited people, which is why she loves her career and bar so much -- it's loud, it's blissful, it's positive and warm and bright.

However, despite all the shiny chaos Saxie surrounds herself with, she also has a strong sense of justice and right vs. wrong, and will not hesitate to intervene if the fun goes a little too far. She hates seeing people hurting or taken advantage of -- especially young women, which miiiight be her projecting a little bit -- and has few filters on what she says or does to defend them. While she's never been in serious trouble, Saxsice has a tendency to put her foot in her mouth and/or get physical when she's angry or upset, and has been kicked out of a lot of bars in a lot of cities.

Despite her persona as a fun, flirty bartender, Saxie keeps her personal life and her past very close to her chest, and will very very rarely open up to anyone. Even her "best friends" have never been to her home and don't know anything about her family or where she's from. This is a defense mechanism, both for Saxsice herself and for the private, precious world she's created outside of her career. For the very, very few who have gotten a glimpse into that world, Saxie is a completely different person -- awkward, unsure, terrified of messing up and constantly trying to do and be better.
• HISTORY •
Saxsice was born Cassiopeia, the only child of Aquila Hart, on a secluded, self-sufficient commune in rural Idaho. To onlookers, the Hart family -- consisting of Aquila, her siblings and their children -- were devoted to the idea of going "back to the land", living in a sustainable manner, in harmony with nature, and without influence from outside forces. While that was true, to a point, the actual motivation was to keep their supernatural secrets. The Harts were the last of a once-magnificent dynasty of shape-shifters, who could take on the form of massive, majestic wolves.

Cassiopeia had been told from the day she was old enough to understand that she was heir to privilege and power, and with that came sacrifice. There was no internet, no public school, no prom or driving lessons or first kisses in the back of cheap cars for Cassie. Instead there was rigorous training to help her hone and harness her gift, hunting under the moon and running through the miles of forest around her home.

And then she was told at the age of sixteen that she would be partnered with one of her cousins, to make sure the Hart blood wasn't diluted further. Not only was that definitely gross and illegal, but the cousin in question was sort of an asshole. Cassiopeia had protested, had defied her mother for the first time, and had been locked in her room indefinitely for her insubordination. For months, she waited and plotted, until the full moon finally came and, strengthened by this, she was able to transform, overpower the family members assigned to guard her, and scale the fence surrounding the compound, making a very daring escape. It wasn't easy, learning how to be a person, and the real world was a cruel, often brutal teacher. But she survived, she learned and she grew, changing her name and her appearance as she went. She also made some horrific mistakes along the way -- one of them was in Portland, and his name was Lucas. For a little while Cassie -- now Saxsice -- thought that she might have a chance at a life, at a family, her and Lucas and their baby on the way.

Inevitably, Saxsice ended up penniless, pregnant and desperate in the streets of LA. That was when she learned just how far Aquila's influence extended -- she was approached by a stranger and given an offer. They would allow her to continue living freely, would even give her enough money to make a fresh start, in exchange for the child she now carried. If Saxsice wanted her freedom, she had to let her family take the baby, keep the Hart bloodline pure and contained. It was for the best, she understood, right? It was a kindness, not a betrayal. Not the worst thing she'd ever done.

A decade later, Saxsice has a shabby little bar in L.A., a circle of casual friends and her family heritage only manifests as a desire for extremely-rare steak once a month. It's not a perfect life, but it's a hell of a lot better than her family would've wanted. And if she drinks enough, parties enough, laughs long and loud enough, Saxsice never thinks about the parts of her past that still hurt.

Until she gets another call, this one from Idaho. Ten years is evidently enough time to determine that she'd wasted her potential, had polluted her genes with mundane, human blood. Her powerful shape-shifting gift hadn't passed on to her son, and after a decade of trying, the family wants nothing more to do with him, shipping him back to Saxsice to deal with. And he's understandably not too fond of the mother who abandoned him as a baby. So now she has to figure out how to be a grown-up, a parent and a werewolf, without somehow screwing it all up again. And there's also the small issue of the rival packs who've caught wind of her presence in their territory.

...it's probably fine.
